As part of the awareness-raising activities of the “Strengthening Quality Infrastructure for Sustainable Economic Development in Mauritania” project, funded by the German Institute of Metrology (PTB), ONANOR celebrated World Standards Day on Monday, 14 October 2024, at the Mauricenter Hotel in Nouakchott.
The objective of the 2024 commemoration is to raise the visibility of the Mauritanian national body responsible for promoting Quality Infrastructure (ONANOR), with a view to strengthening its integrity within its institutional sphere.
Every year, in Mauritania as throughout the world, ISO member countries celebrate World Standards Day. This international day takes place on 14 October each year, focusing on a topical theme selected by stakeholders in the field. The theme chosen for this year is: “A shared vision for a better world” which places Mauritania within a drive for technical cooperation conducive to promoting the quality of these products and services.
